Blogged down now longer!

Well... I can't believe its been so long since I last wrote a blog post, so for that I apologise.  However, you can blame a member of my football team for that as, while playing in goal at training, I made such a fantastic reaction save that my thumb decided to dislocate itself!

To say that it hurt was a little bit of an understatement and I discovered that I had expanded my collection of swear words by the time that the doctor had twisted and pulled it back into its joint.  I tell you what though, I can see why women in labour take gas and air!!!  They should bottle it and sell it... it would certainly become a best seller!

The X-Factor is now well underway and is nearing the final.  I was gutted that my favourites went out this weekend.  Only The Young are a great, energetic fun four and I hope that this isn't the last that we see of them.
Stevie went out last night as well and now my money is on Fleur East, but I have a sinking feeling that Andrea Faustini is going to win.  I hope not as I can't see him becoming a worldwide star.

The football season is also a goodly way through the season and after a fantastic start for my super Foxes including...

It was a truly great game... it's not often that you are 2-0, then 3-1 down against a team like Man Utd and yet you still win the game.  The most annoying thing was though that I actually called it.  Did I put my money where my mouth was??  No.  So finding out the next day that it was 500/1 was more than upsetting lol.

The wheels have come off Leicester's season since however, and we now sit in the bottom three, but only a win away from climbing up three or four places so it's all to play for.

The Alex Hayden Chronicles Book Two: The Howling Wind is really gathering pace as I continue to concentrate on the project.  As I write this, Alex and the gang are just in the final battle so there is only really another two or three chapters to write.  Then there's the proofing and cover design and then BAM!  Christmas deadline should be achieved.

I'll let you all into a big secret though... a main character gets killed!!!  That's right, you've read correctly.  In a stroke of cruelty, one of the main characters will be topped off and I'm not telling you who it is.  You'll just have to wait and read it!

My Warp Speed Mind

Talking of reading, I had the privilege of reading a wonderful book in the last few weeks and would like to share it with you.  It's called "My Warp Speed Mind" by Donalisa Helsley.  It tells the story of a boy with ADHD and gives some really useful advice to teachers, parents and children alike.  Donalisa has worked with children with ADHD and wanted to put something together and the book that she has created is simply brilliant.

Here is my review of the book.

"Although I do not have a child myself, I was intrigued by how parents can help and cope a child with ADHD. I was a little unsure what to expect from the book, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was aimed at teaching a child about ADHD and how to cope, while giving parents and other adults key indicators and exercises to help them.

The tale about Drake and his experience was very informative with just the right amount of humour mixed in that it should keep your child's interest.

A very worthwhile book for anyone who is affected by ADHD."

You can pick up a copy on Amazon, with it currently priced at £1.99 or local equivalent by clicking here

Well, that's all from me today.  I promise to blog a little more regularly and next time, will be telling you more about Alex Hayden, I'll be reviewing a new two piece band who I have just discovered via twitter and of course, I'll bore you with more rubbish about what is going on!
